Liberty Shores Outdoor Cabinetry is engineered for the demands of outdoor living — built from premium Liberty Shores Polymer, HDPE, and Engineered Composite materials that are specifically chosen for their durability, moisture resistance, and long-term beauty. With just a little routine care, your outdoor kitchen will look and perform beautifully for years to come.
Routine Cleaning
For everyday maintenance, all that's needed is a soft cloth or sponge, mild dish soap, and warm water. Gently wipe down cabinet surfaces, drawer fronts, and door faces to remove cooking residue, dust, pollen, or general outdoor grime. Always rinse with clean water and dry with a soft towel to prevent water spotting.
Use only mild, pH-neutral dish soap
Avoid abrasive scrubbing pads or steel wool, which can scratch surfaces
Dry surfaces thoroughly after cleaning to prevent water pooling around hardware
For best results, clean regularly rather than allowing buildup to accumulate
Removing Stubborn Stains or Grease
Do not use bleach, harsh solvents, paint thinner, or acetone-based cleaners
Use only mild, pH-neutral dish soap
Avoid spray degreasers with heavy chemical concentrations directly on cabinet faces
For composite and HDPE surfaces, a plastic-safe cleaner is recommended
Hardware Care
Liberty Shores cabinets feature soft-close hinges and full-extension, ball-bearing drawer glides engineered for smooth, reliable performance. To keep hardware operating at its best:
Periodically inspect hinges and drawer glides for proper alignment
Wipe hardware clean with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly
If hinges require adjustment, use the six-way adjustment feature to realign doors without tools
A light application of a silicone-based lubricant on drawer runners once or twice a year will keep slides operating smoothly
Heat Source Cabinetry
Cabinets housing grills, side burners, or other heat sources require special attention. Always ensure that the grill manufacturer's insulating jacket or liner is properly installed and maintained at all times. Never operate a heat source without the required liner in place.
Inspect grill liners and blankets regularly for wear, damage, or improper fit
Maintain a minimum 6-inch clearance between any heat source and the cabinet carcass at all times, measured from the exterior of the liner or blanket
Clean any grease accumulation inside grill base cabinets regularly to reduce fire risk
Ensure ventilation openings on cabinet floors and gable ends remain clear and unobstructed at all times
Protecting Your Cabinetry
Liberty Shores Outdoor Cabinetry is designed for covered lanai and outdoor settings. While our materials are highly durable and weather-resistant, taking a few simple protective measures will significantly extend the life and appearance of your investment.
Always install cabinetry in a covered or semi-covered outdoor environment — Liberty Shores cabinetry is intended for lanai settings and is not designed for fully exposed, uncovered outdoor installations
In coastal environments, rinse cabinet exteriors with fresh water periodically to remove salt air deposits, which can accelerate surface wear over time
Maintain a minimum 6-inch clearance between any heat source and the cabinet carcass at all times, measured from the exterior of the liner or blanket
During extended periods of non-use or harsh weather, covering cabinetry with a breathable outdoor furniture cover adds an extra layer of protection
Avoid allowing standing water to pool on countertops or around the base of cabinets for prolonged periods
Seasonal Maintenance Checklist
To keep your Liberty Shores outdoor kitchen in top condition, we recommend a quick seasonal inspection:
Inspect and clean all cabinet surfaces
Check hinges and drawer glides for smooth operation and alignment
Inspect grill liners and heat shields for proper condition
Clear all ventilation openings of debris
Check base leveling legs for stability on the floor surface
Rinse hardware and dry thoroughly
Inspect caulking or sealant around countertops and sink areas if applicable
In coastal areas, rinse exteriors with fresh water to remove salt deposits
What to Avoid
To protect the finish and structural integrity of your cabinetry, please avoid the following:
Pressure washing directly on cabinet surfaces or hardware
Harsh chemical cleaners, bleach, ammonia, or solvent-based products
Abrasive scrubbing pads, steel wool, or rough brushes
Placing extremely hot items directly on cabinet surfaces or door faces
Operating any heat source without the required insulating liner installed
